My interest in fish began when I started fishing at the age of three. Since then, I have developed an endless curiosity about fish and aquatic environments.
I have used my education and skills in the non-profit sector to help conserve freshwater and marine life for future generations. I have worked for many environmental organizations, and currently work as the Regional Projects Manager, Western Region for the David Suzuki Foundation. A large part of my role is dedicated to SeaChoice and the promotion of sustainable seafood in the Canadian marketplace.

By working with retailers to improve their commitments to and procurement of sustainable seafood, I am confident that we can improve the health of our oceans. And when people become aware of the long-term value of sustainable seafood options and take the initiative to avoid unsustainable ones, they can send a powerful message to producers to do the right thing. It’s inspiring to see companies and individuals supporting this important initiative.
I earned an MBA from The University of British Columbia and a BSc in zoology from the University of Manitoba.
