Retail and restaurant solutions

Retailers and restaurants play an important role in the food system—linking food producers with the final customers. Serving as a bridge, vendors of seafood have the ability to affect major changes in quality and sustainability from production to consumption. SeaChoice can help vendors work with their suppliers to provide information about sources of sustainable seafood. This information can also be passed onto customers who want to make informed eating decisions.

We invite members of industry to visit the Seafood Choices Alliance website and their online catalogue that suggests where you can source sustainable seafood. This group is based in the US, but also provides sections relevant to Canada.

SeaChoice is actively building a list of major retail partners who want to work with us to build awareness of ocean-friendly seafood from their suppliers to their clientele. We can help you work with suppliers and producers to learn more about the sustainability of the seafood you currently carry, offer guidelines for phasing-in a sustainable seafood purchasing program and provide materials that will communicate your efforts to support sustainable seafood to your customers.

We would be pleased to send you SeaChoice products. Please contact us directly via info@seachoice.org if your organization would like copies of either Canada’s Seafood Guide or SeaChoice drop cards.
