SeaChoice is based on collaboration between our four member organizations, the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, the Ecology Action Centre, the David Suzuki Foundation, and the Living Ocean Society. But our collaboration does end there…..
Each of our organizations is also part of a larger North American wide network of non profit organizations, named the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions, which is working to promote ocean friendly seafood in retail markets in Canada and the United States. Our involvement in this Alliance broadens our reach into the seafood supply systems, provides learning opportunities that help improve the SeaChoice program, and offers connections to other businesses who are striving to achieve their sustainable seafood policies.
The Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions has 17 member organizations. Several other organizations participate in the organization’s meetings and learning forums as collaborators. Learn more about this Alliance here.
FishChoice is a free resource connecting buyers and sellers of sustainable seafood. Commercial seafood buyers can browse products with favorable Seafood Watch sustainability ratings and contact those suppliers who provide sustainable seafood. FishChoice.com includes a regular newsletter, featured supplier spotlights, and a product request form.
